3 Steps to Eliminate Mammon's Power – Money Is A Defense
3 Steps to Eliminate Mammon's Power

After years of tests and trials and then most tests and more trials what I would learn by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God over the period of a few years were the many different ways of eliminating Mammon power. Three of which I'm about to share with you now. The truth is there is absolutely no way of totally eliminating Mammon's power but when can render him ineffective pretty much in the life of the believer who is a good and just steward. Now, of course, there are more than three ways but here are three easiest ones to learn and put into practice now.

#1. Build A Storehouse (Savings)

The Bible in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 28 talks about the Storehouse. We also see this term used in other parts of the bible referencing a place where God Himself stores things such as the wind and hail. A storehouse is just what it sounds like a place in someone's house where things are stored. This is an important concept when it comes to eliminating Mammon's ability to get you to serve him. One of the main ways Mammon exerts his power is through lack. Lack is not having a sufficient amount of something that you need. When people live in a state of lack i.e. poverty they will often invent creative and often unscrupulous and illegal ways to get what the are in need of. Hook or crook as they say. When the lack is great and the need is overwhelming causing physical harm to innocent people is no longer out of the question. So to eliminate the lack God teaches us to be like Him and build Storehouses. A place where you can slowly store up reserves of any and everything that might be needed later.

Today we call this a bank savings account. Because today we can easily use the money to buy from others all the things we need. So, for other than the things we need for daily use such as food and water a well stock savings account is our modern-day storehouse.

#2. Know Your High and Low Points

Now, this is a new concept that I discuss at length in my book series "Operation Recover The Wealth." I also wrote an article about it titled "Every Man Has He Price which I will link HERE. It introduces the idea that God wants us to live a financially well-balanced life between two financial pain points. The book of Proverbs puts it this way:

"Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain." Proverbs 30:8-9 KJV

Living between poverty and wealth meaning having enough money and resources that you're neither poor nor rich. I found out that the Spirit of Mammon operates outside these two boundaries. I also found out that the Word of God has prescribed answers to this problem perfectly. When you don't have enough money in your Storehouse to ward off life's everyday shortfalls, situations, and responsibilities we tend to panic and get out of faith which is where Mammon wants you because worry is a sin. Also, when you have too much money and/or savings you began to trust your money and wealth more than you do the living God who warns us in the book of Timothy not to put our trust in uncertain riches. I tell my clients when they ask me "How Do I Know What My High/Low Is? I work and pray with them to find out from the Lord what their range needs to be and then invite them to become a part of MIAD my wealth management company to help them maintain their financial goals.

#3. Give Your Way Out

Generosity is key. You not only must manage your financial limits and steward all that God allows coming into your hands but you must also look for opportunities to give. Givers are always more blessed than receivers. The book of Acts says this"

"I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35 KJV

So giving is a technology that gives you the upper hand against the Spirit of Mammon and puts you in the position to be blessed. So don't always look for a windfall to dig your way out of a bad situation but start giving and you will start to see this Godly principle go to work for you. Amen!
