Mammon is a multifaceted Principle spirit. A Prince whose principality or sphere of rulership is and over Money. A Principality is simply a State ruled by a Prince. Like most Princes, they rule with an iron fist with the sovereignty of a god. Mammon is tuff, especially on Christians because He has to be. He has a huge assignment that he has been given and takes very seriously. His number one assignment is to show and prove the ProvidencThe Almighty God. He is tasked with doing this to all mankind generation after generation by moving God's vast resources all over the planet in an unprecedented way as commanded and as needed. The thing about it is God gives principle spirits like mammon a measure of sovereignty to act independently of God's throne to some degree. This means mammon gets to do what he was created to do in almost any way he sees fit. This small amount of free will is why He was able to become an unrighteous spirit as the Bible attributes to him.
It’s this sliver of sovereignty that got most if not all of these types of created governing spirits into trouble with the Most-High. They let the power go to their heads and not their understanding. Now many are trapped into being enemies of God when they cast their vote against God's only begotten Son to become President and CEO of God's Kingdom. But the cool thing is God still did not release them from being held accountable to fulfill their original job duties. They have been fired but must serve out their time until eternity. “Oh my”
This produces for God the perfect situation and world to vet us in. Now God has an environment in which only those He can truly trust to reign with Him forever would make it out alive. Using those that failed Him as trainers to ensure the success of those that will contend and overcome. ABSOLUTELY INGENIOUS! So we are contending with spiritual forces that both hate us because we are their replacements and some that are neither friend nor foe but there to test our resolve in the Lord Jesus Christ. In the same way, our spouses can be our best friend or worst enemy at the same time. Lol. The simplest way to look at this is to just understand that at the end of the day we as spiritual beings ourselves were all created to bring Him pleasure.
Rev 4:11 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure, they are and were created. “ Kjv
This is why Money is neither good nor evil but Mammon is unrighteous. And the reason why it’s really not the love of money per-say that is the root of all kinds of evil but the love of the spirit that governs it MAMMON who is a jealous and conceded spirit.
Mammon wants what God has. The love, affection, and friendship of His people and all the power that comes with it. This is what all the gods want and they use every ability that God gave them to steal it from the very God that gave it to them Jehovah.
We allow that to happen when we don’t use our POWER TO GET WEALTH as the Words say with our money. Money obeys one of two voices Gods or Mammon. And through us and it can never serve both at the same time ever. Stewardship is all about making sure it obeys God's voice with it being impossible to hide the evidence. God uses money as a bellwether to determine who really has our hearts despite what it looks like from the outside. We can fool people but all God has to do is look at where you put your money to determine exactly where your heart is. Jesus Christ said this:
Mat 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.“
But “don’t let the smooth taste fool you” Mammon will deceive many into thinking their ok because of their personal stewardship abilities. But this too is a trick because what you don’t give God safe access to really belongs to the powers of darkness. Just because your good with money and have seemingly escaped poverty and lack does not mean you have done so in a way that God is pleased with.
Luk 12:19 “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast many goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
Luk 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Luk 12:21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Kjv
True Biblical Stewardship is the only way to defeat mammon and all the other gods at their own game. Careful management of your God-given resources is the only way to ensure that you have access to everything you need to survive and indeed thrive and dominate in this world. When we color outside these lines and began to handle money our own way we place ourselves squarely in the ring with God's best enemies. An arena where deception is the order of every day.
