Not only that but Americans are drowning in debt. High levels of debt can happen for a variety of reasons, from unexpected medical bills to the loss of a job to paying college tuition and trying to pay back student loans. But the main problem many Americans have in managing their debt levels is controlling their everyday spending, which can add up in ways you may not expect.
Given those facts is it any wonder that nearly two-thirds of Americans can’t pass a basic test of financial literacy?
Financial literacy is a critical component of managing money but also because, without it, our financial decisions and the actions we take—or don’t take—will lack a solid foundation for success. This can mean the difference between people enjoying a comfortable life and versus living in a constant state of anxiety, living on the brink of poverty with no savings for the rest of their days.
I decided that I had a role in do something that could change the trajectory of people’s lives forever. It was in that spirit I created the MIAD Academy which is a 501[C]3 non-profit. MIAD Academy features a Biblical Financial Literacy Program. We teach and train the Principles of Biblical Financial Stewardship starting from age 5 and up. We want to help adults get back on the path to financial wellness and provide children with a proper financial understanding to set them up for a lifetime of financial success. Our goal and focus are to teach parents through their children the importance of a Storehouse/Emergency/Savings.
We want to help as many families as possible and to do that MIAD Academy needs your help. We are looking for sponsors to assist us in acquiring the materials for those who are going through our program. We would like to provide those materials free of charge to them so they are not incurring and additional financial obligations. The cost of materials for one family is (insert dollar figure here). Can we count on your support and donate to support their path to financial literacy and independence?
